New (too large) direction indicator and view
Not a Problem
Since the update to 4.0.2 I have a new (red) large direction indicator and directiion view as on my screenshot.
Before they were smaller and blue / orange. Now these elements are taking too much space. The direction indicator was only bordered to show the map details under it.
Or is there a setting which I didn't find?

this looks like some custom indicators you choose in Settings > Controlling > Map screen > Map cursors.
You are using any from Locus Store? There should not be any change in the recent version, but if you are sure there is anything changed for certain cursors, let me know what to test.

You should not make settings in apps shortly before falling asleep. However, I thought that this setting only affected the cursor cross

Ah ok :). You may manually check the content of the selected cursor pack (these files are simple zip files stored in the Locus/icons directory). Every pack may contain not just center cross, but also ... well, as you see :).
