LM4.1 Update - Missing Menue Button

R P shared this problem 3 years ago
Solved

Today there was an update to the new version. Then there was no way to get into the menu (3 lines at the bottom left). I then completely uninstalled and reinstalled Locus 4. Then the menu function was there again. But then Locus had to be set up again.

Hello R P,

thank you for the bug report. I'm testing how this may happen and the only possible reason for this behavior seems to be a case when there are no buttons in the bottom function panels. May you please, at the moment it works correctly, add at least one button to the bottom panel? Does it help then?

We have already discussed this in the DE forum.

Despite earlier reporting in LM4.1 forum that it was fixed for me, yesterday I experienced the same missing menu button:275316c97a811b4aef29b7056c89baee

Normally I can double-tap the screen to get auto-hide buttons back; which *is* the case for all buttons in the screen cap above, except for the main menu button! And only with a certain combination of settings am I yet to determine. It depends on the preset I've used.

The problem only happens with 2 of my presets, for which settings are as follows:

b8c70d3b1fbcd4d5cf205c95407c2629

When I changed to another preset I can get the menu button to reappear:

97515e1f440338c63d1ec9e25cced3ec

With my settings it may be related to the Panel Hiding Timeout of 99999s. I use this "trick" so I can permanently double-tap the screen to toggle all related buttons on or off. It was working until a few releases ago but something recent has maybe changed.

Hello Andrew,

it looks like you also do not have any buttons in the bottom panel, so it will probably be related to the same issue as reported R P.

Helo Menion, not sure about your bottom panel theory - none of my 6 presets have bottom panel buttons, only right side. I still can't figure out how to reproduce the missing menu button. It could be related to whether the settings are used from app activation, as opposed to only applied via a preset.

Hello Menion, I worked out how to confirm the missing Menu button for 4.1.1. With the settings shown in my screen cap, the menu will be missing from starting Locus. If however I have other settings, then switch to this set (generally from a preset) the Menu button is correctly displayed. 100% reproducible. Shall I email my settings.zip?

Hi Andrew, thanks. Please wait on the next version. I made some changes that should help.

Otherwise, shared settings will be welcome.
