Navigation - leaving and rejoining a route
Answered
Hi
I am not sure if I have a setting wrong.
I would like the option to deliberately leave a route I am navigating along and then rejoin it further along. When I leave the route I don't want the route to recalculate. When I rejoin the route I want locus to recognise I am back on the route and continue with the navigation.
Currently when I leave the route I get the error alter. However when I rejoin the route I still get the error alerts. I then have to stop navigating and start it again.
Thanks
Rich
Hello Rich,
If you do not want to receive out of route notification - go to
Menu> Settings> Navigation and turn off Route Recalculation and Out of route notifications.
That should solve your problem.
Have a nice day

Hi Andrea
No sorry I want the out of route notification and have this set up ok.
What I want is for Locus to know when I am back on route. At the moment when I rejoin a route locus isn't aware that i am back on it.

Hi Rich,
these are my settings with which Locus knows that I'm back on track:
- go to Locus settings > navigation > route recalculation > set no recalculation
- Locus settings > navigation > advanced settings > maximum deviation from the route > set as you need, I use 30 m
- Locus settings > navigation > advanced settings > snap to route - YES

Hi Michal
Thanks for your help and settings.
I had been using the same as you but with a different deviation. Maybe the problem is a quirk with my phone.
To locus support:
should locus know that I am back on route after missing out a section, ie once you start navigating a route (with strict route following on) does it have to follow each point in the line in order. So if you miss one point locus wont know that you are back on course even though you are?
