[FR] Problème pour enregister un parcours
Answered
Bien cordialement. Pierre Bouffartigue
Hello Pierre,
Can you please specify your problem more?
Does the route record not start at all or do I record it incorrectly?
Does it write you an error message?
Thank you for the clarification.
Have a nice day

Hello Pierre,
Thank you for the clarification.
I will still ask if your phone has fixed the GPS position? Ie. is the GPS icon in Locus green?
Locus will not start recording until it has a fixed GPS position.
Thank you for the clarification.

Hello Pierre,
Thank you for submitting the file.
The two straight lines on your track log are probably caused by settings to optimize operating system performance.
Check the GPS settings on your device and application.
1) Make sure Locus Map has all the system permissions for accurate location access.
If you have Android 10, select "all the time".
2) Make sure Locus Map is excluded from all battery optimization resources.
Detailed instructions can be found at http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:gps_lost_fix_android6 or here: https://dontkillmyapp.com/.
3) in Locus Settings> GPS and Sensors> turn off automatic GPS shutdown
4) in Locus Settings> GPS and sensors> Turn on location supported by Google services

Hello Andrea,
sorry for the delay to answer.
I did a tour this morning and just have a look to the attached file(Screensho...) a real disaster!!!
Alle parameters in Locus Map Pro are set as mentioned in your last massage.
I really don't understand my problem...
Is there any way to get the COMPLETE Locus Map Configuration?
Is there any way to log the tour recoerd and send the log file to you?
Thanks again for your help.
Regards.
Pierre.

Hi Pierre,
Locus Map processes location from the data it receives from your phone GPS. If the data access is interrupted by the system optimization or Android location access regulations, Locus can't record the track correctly. Similarly, when the data is incorrect or contain huge deviations, then the resulting track recording is also incorrect. Besides the already mentioned measures which are vital for correct app run (exclusion from battery optimization, all-the-time location access permission, see details in https://docs.locusmap.app/doku.php?id=manual:faq:gps_lost_fix_android6) Locus Map offers a few methods on how to limit location deviations. Open Locus settings > GPS&sensors:
- Location filter > select medium or heavier filter
- Google Services assisted location > turn it ON
- check of GPS auto-off is turned on. If yes, turn it OFF.
- also, update to the latest version 3.53.1.
best regards
Michal Stupka, Locus team

Hi Michal,
I did all the requested steps as mentioned in your last message(2021, June 22nd)
As we have rain, rain and rain...I don't know when I would be able to record a cycle tour...
so be patient to get a new message from me.
Kind regards.

Hello Michal,
I did 2 cyclistes tour records. Unfortunatly they did not work properly .
I'm sending you a lot of configuration files and tour records.
The second record is quite incredible(I started my tour and come back to the starting point as I forgot something) the recording has been only that part even if the duration was more than 4hours.
I'm wandering if my phone is still working fine....
Best regards.

Hi Pierre,
two more things that could help (hopefully):
- Locus settings > miscellaneous > Run Locus Map as service - switch it ON
- check if there is any third party app that kills Locus besides the system optimization - for example Huawei uses "Power Genie". Such an app should be deactivated, better uninstalled. More at https://docs.locusmap.app/doku.php?id=manual:faq:gps_lost_fix_android6n and Don’t kill my app!
