I guess you want to do this on a loop, but start and end from a different point than the one initially planned, right?

My solution is to select the new Start/End point on the Route > Modify track > Split: you now have 2 tracks ending at (track _01) and starting from (track_02) the desired point.
All you need to do now is go to Data manager > Tracks > Select your 2 tracks > Merge tracks > Change the order (track_02 followed by track_01): this will re-create the loop starting from the new point.

Route> Edit Route> Insert / Edit Trackpoint.
