How to install external themes under LM 3.57.1?

Hello!

I have Android 7.0, my brother has Android 11. Today, he bought LM Pro and I wanted to install a self-made Map theme on his phone – but Locus doesn't seem to recognise it. I copied the folder with the theme called "Luce Topo" that you can see in the first screenshot to this folder on his phone: Android/media/menion.android.locus.pro/mapsVector. After that and after restarting Locus on his phone, the theme was not available, meaning the area below the pre-installed themes showing in screenshot 2 was empty – no "Luce Topo" theme there.

What am I doing wrong? Why is the theme not recognised?

Thanks in advance,

Lucas

Themes are specific regarding the MapsForge version of the vector map you are using (or trying ...).

What MF version is Luce Topo built for? Versus which kind of map do you want to use?

Hello Michael,

the theme is made for V3 maps (LoMaps) and on my own phone with Android 7.0 it is running flawlessly with my LoMaps.

On my brother's phone with Android 11, the theme is not recognised. I assume that this is an Android 11 issue (and maybe I am using the wrong folder)...

Hello Zdenek,

yes, that helped indeed! I forgot the"_themes" folder. I think this should be the solution :) I’ll try as soon as I have the chance.

Thank you,

Best, Lucas

Hello Zdenek,

I met my brother today and I looked for the menion.android.locus.pro folder you described. I can see this folder, but android doesn't allow copying files into it. Is there a workaround for this? Any file exporter that is able to bypass this? Total Commander for example doesn’t show it at all...
