Position does not update while driving fast
Not a Problem
Hi,
sorry if this is a duplicate, but I could not find a solution/thread regarding my problem:
I am using a carpe iter pad for motobike navigation and when I am slowly (like walking) driving my current position is displayed properly on the map, but when I start driving faster, then my position is not updated until I am nearly standing stil.
I have no clue what could cause this problem.
- high accuracy is enabled
- locus is not included in the battery opt. app list
- locus has full access to everything
- locus is always visible while this happens
It would be very nice if someone could help me :-)
Best & THX for this fantastic app!
Tino
Forgot to say:
So I'm not sure if there is a setting like "update interval" or something else which is causing this - I could not find any setting like this. GPS-Auto-Off is disabled by the way ;-)

Hi,
does this problem occur only during track recording or any time when you watch your location on Locus Map?

Hi,
anytime I'm watching LocusMaps ... but also while recording a track. That was the point where I saw the problem, because my first recorded track only had 3 points - each point was a stop with my bike.

Maybe re-settings your track recording parameters can help. The faster the activity, the shorter time intervals should be used and longer distance intervals, see https://docs.locusmap.app/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:tracks:recording:profiles_settings#parameters. For example, for bike I use 10m OR 5s. For the motorbike, I would recommend even longer distance and shorter time intervals.

I've tried that ... no success :-/ ... and the map isn't updated via "normal view" (no nav, no tack rec etc.) until I come to a stop or slow pace :-(

Hi,
we are still unable to simulate the problem. Could you please do the following:
- download and install a logging version of Locus Map from https://bit.ly/lmVersionsTest
- long-press the main menu button
- tap "setup logging"
- check "log to file" and "Location&GNSS":
- go for a ride
- go to /Locus/logs/ directory in your phone storage and copy the .txt file to this topic, send also the time when you were riding fast
Thanks!

Hi ...
sorry for the very late reply ... I had a lot of things to do in the past days.
I've reseted my device and reinstalled everyting and now it's fine for me ... Locus is showing my current position properly ... what I have to check is: Does Locus even show my current position when LiveTracking is enabled ... it was enabled the last time.
