folder management issue
Not a Problem
Hi,
last period, i start using the option for new locations of map folders. When i visit into the settings this menu, i choose the new location, but the next mesage is copy the data from old location to the new. This is the first problem for me. Why to copy all the data ? Why the app don't let the old data at the old folder and start use the new data at the new folder ? Just like the oruxmap can do. If i don't press to copy the old data folder, the locus app reject to use the new folder.
The next problem is that the locus app start to "copy" the data and not to "move" them. With this very bad philosophy, the user can wait very very very long time

i don't know very well english, but i believe that you do. If you ask me to describe "step - step" what i am doing, how you answer to my problem ? Where have you found into my message the 1. Multiple folders and 2. Multiple folders with the same content ?
i am talking about " a new working folder" when the app run. If into the future i need to re-use my old map folder, i will choose this from inside the locus menu and after a restart, the app will accept my choose. I need to keep my old data for personal reasons. It will be nice if the locus app could do this like oruxmaps or here wego can do.
There is no answer to my question - why there is no "move" data when we select a new folder into the same storage, but only "copy" data from the app. This is a huge of waste time for the users.

i have describe step by step, what i did. I don't know any other words.
i have say twice, that apps like orxumaps and here wego, can start use new folders without to move the data from old folders. Just so simple. Especially, the oruxmaps doesn't need restart the app. So, as many times i need, i can use other folders with different data.
