Login with Google Account on device with different Google account

Rolf Aalders shared this problem 6 days ago
Not a Problem

I've subscribed on my main device with my main Google ID (thus without a Locus Password)

For navigation purposes I configured another device with a different GoogleID, so that I can use that with less strict security settings. So on that 2nd device I'm using a different google ID on Android system level. I installed the Locus Maps app on that 2nd device and want to login to the app. However, I do not have a password and I also do not want to log in with my main Google Account on Android system level, because of that security concern.

How can I login to Locus Maps on my 2nd device so that I can enjoy my Gold subscription?

Thanks!

Hello,

the subscription is linked to your Locus store account. So if you want to use it on another device you have to use the same account.

You even don't need Google Play services for LM4 on the device, but the Locus Store account must be the same.

Thanks Zdenek,

I want to login with my same account, but I don't have a password, because I log in with the "Login with Google" functionality, example in attachment. That way I don't have a password and since I'm using another google ID on the other phone, I cannot login. I don't want to login with my main googleID because my 2nd, navigation device, I want to use without password.

I found a workaround: Login with locus registered googleID on my 2nd device, then login in Locus and when Locus is registered with my GoogleID, remove the main googleID from the device again.

So it seems to work now, but it is a bit of a hack

Hello,

I understood.

Your workaround is good solution. I am glad you have solved it.

If you need a less time-consuming solution in the future, let me know.

We would have to reset your login and the "email/password" option will be better for your needs.
