Add settings to display either the absolute altitude, or the relative change at the map cursor

I would like to know the change in elevation from my current GPS location to the map cursor instead of only the absolute elevation at the map cursor. A new settings option would be needed to support this option. Or even allow both to be displayed.

Hello,

this should already be possible. You need here a "Settings > Maps > Auxiliary graphics > Cursor to position line". Because by default, there is only distance above this line, you need to enable the "Elevation" change as well. This value is defined by the "Value below map lines" settings in the Expert settings.

Hope this helps. Let me know if this will do what you expected.

Thanks! I found the expert settings and added elevation to 'value below map lines', however it is not showing up on the screen yet. I did try exiting the app and starting it again. No luck. Any ideas? Hang on, 2 fingers are showing EG. However ,the cursor is showing distance above, and heading/bearing below. The field was initially 'nothing to display'.

I did a force stop, and now it's working. Thanks!

Ah sorry, my mistake. It it settings "Value below Cursor to GPS" in the Expert settings, not the one I mentioned before.

You probably found it if it works now.

Strange.. Here always shows Bearing, no matter what I choose. Even after a force stop / restart device.

Hi Ricardo,

are you settings really a "Value below Cursor to GPS" value and do you see on the map this line that connects map screen center and your current real location on the map?

Hi Menion, yes. Please see print screen.

"Value below Cursor to GPS" not the "Value below map lines"! :). A subtle difference ...

Thanks. Yes subtle! I followed you first post.

It can be hard to see the above/below text as it's drawn behind the gps to cursor distance. Not sure how to improve the visibility. Cannot see anywhere to change text colour for these fields, Or make the gps to cursor distance font an outline or transparent.

May you please post a screenshot with this "bad readability"? Thanks

Oki, thanks. In the app will be huge amount of similar situations and I do not consider this as a problem. Simple zoom or small map movement usually solve this rare issue when texts overlaps.
