How to import providers.xml on Android 11+?

I am not able to find any up to date information about importing this file on Android 11+ (before, everything that was needed - just placing providers.xml in the mapsOnline/custom folder).

some third party file managers can do it if the app main directory is in the internal storage - Xplore, Solid explorer, Total Commander... when it is on the SD card, only external management via connection to a PC usually helps.
