Guiding problem
Not a Problem
Hello,
Since the last update, guidance notifications are no longer the same and less relevant than before.
For example, when approaching a roundabout, it no longer announces "take the 3rd exit.." but "turn slightly left...or right".
Is it voluntary?
Good day.
Hi,
the guidance mode never announced roundabouts. Only the simplest direction changes. Navigation mode announces roundabouts and exits.

Yes sorry, I wrote 'guidance' by mistake. I meant 'Navigation'

I just tested the navigation again this morning while going shopping.….
On the way out, the navigation took the roundabouts into account…. And on the way back (using a previously recorded route), she didn't take them into account.
I will continue to test.

If you navigate a previously recorded route, Locus generates the voice commands only from the shape of the route - not based on intersections, roundabouts etc. This is possible only when the route is generated by the router - using Navigate to feature or the route planner.

Hello,
Locus is installed on my smartphone (Samsung S7) and also on my tablet (Samsung TabA).
The application is up to date on both devices (version 3.62.1).
I performed the following manipulation (on the smartphone on the one hand and on the tablet on the other hand):
I draw and save the same route with 'route planner' on each of the 2 devices,
Then I select the route and I activate the navigation,
Results :
- 1 – On the smartphone, voice commands are interpreted according to the shape of the route.
- 2- On the tablet, voice commands indicate roundabouts (as has always been the case).

hi,
do you use the same router for both devices? Please have a look at settings > navigation > router. And btw, this is "Navigate to" what you are using, not the route planner. "Navigate to" is suitable for a quick route rendering/navigation from point A to point B (see https://docs.locusmap.app/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:functions:navigation:point-to-point). The route planner enables detailed planning of the route progress (https://docs.locusmap.app/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:tracks:planning).

Hello,
I use the same router ==> Brouter.

Could you send an exact location where this happens? We'd like to test it. Thanks.

Hello,
I enclose:
1 - A screenshot showing the GPS coordinates. But the problem is the same whatever the geographical location.
2 – An export of the GPX file from the D7 smartphone, and another from the TabA tablet (we see that their size is not identical)

Your tablet route contains waypoints and your mobile route doesn't. It is probably caused by the selected guidance mode of the navigation:
Switch to the "Navigation" mode.

I just copied the backup from the tablet to the smartphone and then restored it to the smartphone (Because the settings are identical and the data is almost identical even if I lose a few routes).
… And everything works how before.
In my opinion, my problem was that the last update did not work correctly because I found that it had done strangely when I launched it (I always launch my updates manually).
I hope this won't happen again.
Thank you so much. Cordially,

Good news :) Anyway, you obviously had something set up differently on your phone. Next time, you don't have to use a full backup of the app data to set another device the same way - just the settings.
