Nox emulator access to providers.xml - how?

Hello,

I am using Locus Map 4 (Gold) via Nox Emulator on my Win11 Laptop. Everything works fine, including cloud-synch.

Now I would like to make the same adjustments to my providers.xml as on my phone.

On my phone I can access internal storage\Adroid\data\menion.android.locus\files\Locus\mapsOnline\custom via the app Total Commander OR by connecting the phone to the laptop.

In the emulator I am not able to find the mapsOnle-Folder. I tried Total Commander and Solid Explorer - no success.

I am new to emulator-things and not an IT-expert... any hints how to find and change providers.xml in the emulator?

Thanks in advance...

Wolfgang

Hi,

1) make a complete backup of Locus Map on your phone and store it on storage accessible by Locus Map in the emulator (e.g. Dropbox) (see https://docs.locusmap.app/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:settings:backup_fsys#backup_manager)

2) restore the backup in Locus Map in the emulator - make sure "Custom online maps config" option is checked:

That worked, Thanks a lot! :-)

Hi Michal and team,

I just got aware that the Settings-only backup lacks Dashboard, Presets and Custom online maps config.

Those missing pieces are all settings in nature (hence tiny sizes), while Points, Tracks and Icons are (mass) data in contrast.

Would be more logical to include Dashboard, Presets and Custom online maps config into the Settings-only function, too.

Cheers

Michael

Hi Michael, we're going to rewrite the backup manager settings soon so it'll be possible to diversify the choice of backed items on the definition of the whole backup package.
