Solved

Hi,

I just signed up for Premium Gold and am on the free trial and tried to download a LoMap for offline use but got the above error message. I have 50GB of free memory, good wifi and an Android

S20 phone. What's the problem ? Did I miss something ?

Hi,

I guess there was some problem during downloading of the map file. Please open the notification center (symbol "i" on the map screen) > delete all messages > try to download map again.

Thanks, Petr

Hi, I have the same problem. When downloading from the locus store I also get error 12549 and when trying to install another map I get error 12569. Deleting the error messages did not help either.

Online maps work fine.b31c0f12166120cf056351cb75dc153c

Hi,
ahh, it seems that the issue is very likely caused by a bug in the previous app version. This bug is already fixed and there is also a fix version available. Anyway, some manual steps are needed. Please see https://help.locusmap.eu/topic/30937-maps-vanished-and-error-12569-on-downloading#comment-124693

Thanks,
Petr

Hello I also have same problem. See attached screenshots. Apps shows only 50% of download while it is full. It seems that app does not proceed unpacking process. I installed also this map with locus v.4. There were no problems. I look forward for your help, solution

Thanks for the answer. I've also noticed that installing the Locus Map 4 (outdoor) version solved the problem completely. But going from version 3 to 4 I deprived myself... or I was deprived of :-( .... some functions that were free in version 3 and here you have to pay a fixed subscription for the Silver/Gold version. It's not fair to regular users of the original version of Locus Map Pro which I have been for many years. Well, an omen of the times... :-(

Best regards, Piotr

I am waiting for solution too. As you I don't want to pay for v4. I bought v3 and for me is good enough. I use v4 only because I received promo 1 year subscription. Which comes to the end:-(

Help me understand, Piotr and Michal: imagine your employers (assuming we all are not independently rich ...) would pay you once and yet expect you continue working forever.

An infinite license model only works in markets where you can conquer unchartered territory or can kill the competition (until you reach the point mentioned in the following). Once a market reaches saturation (i.e. the number of people interested in a type of solution is not growing massively), the developer team can no longer survive. End of life for the app, end of employment for the team.

A subscription model is the only way for a sustained development. And honestly: even Gold cost is less than a beer or softdrink per month, and a fraction if you prefer good wine.

Just my 2c.

Thank you for your response. I can not agree with you that your app was paid once for all. To obtain map update I had to pay. So I PAID in your application. Now this application does not install map's update, which I BOUGHT. It is not fair to force me to change application that way. There is NO information that this map will not work. I feel cheated. IMHO this way of marketing will not work. I think I will have to make comment and describe that situation in Google play. Have a good day

Great comment, I agree 100%👍

1) I'm not part of the Locus (Asamm) company at all.

2) I do not dispute that paid deliverables have to be delivered. You paid, you have to get, no question.

3) my point was against the overall rejection of subscription, which I consider selfish and short sighted, to say the least. In the Locus case: if you spend half a beer a month, you will never pay for LoMaps again.

But in the end, let's agree to disagree :-)
