LoMaps persistent download error 12549
Solved
Previous "Pro" user with the Classic app. A recent update made my vector maps inaccessible, so I am trying to redownload them. Process fails the same way every time: Download bar shows 50% progress when the full size has been reached (e.g., 167MB/167MB) and then the screen says "Process Unsuccessful" with error code 12549 (never code 12569, which has been written about at length in other posts).
Same error. I even tried to refresh old map to a new one and same result :(

Thank you. I had assumed these steps were for error code 12569 like the title of that thread suggests. I tried to follow these steps just now, but when I hit the button to "set default directory" it says I don't have enough free disk space. I don't see how this is possible, though. I have over 60GB free in my internal storage.

Hello,
can you tell me where is your default Locus directory? Please send me screenshots of these pages:
"Menu > About the app/Helpdesk > About the app"
"Menu > Settings > Misc. > Default directories > Set custom sub-directories"
Thank you.

Hello,
thank you.
Yes, you are using the internal memory and with the latest updates of Android this directory doesn't work properly.
So recommended procedure is to move app into the Private folder in the internal memory.
If it is not possible do it automatically, you can do it manually. Best way is to connect your phone to PC via cable and copy the whole "Locus" folder into it. As you have more of them, the "main directory" should be the one. You can copy all of them and merge files into that one manually if there are some maps etc. But be careful - tracks.db and waypoints.db contains your tracks and routes. Don't overwrite the one from main directory with some empty!
Then uninstall Locus and delete all files that remains (all "Locus" folders).
Install the app from the scratch with recommended "Private folder in internal memory" option.
After it is done, rewrite the newly created "Locus" directory with the previous one.
All your data should be in their places and it should work properly again.
But if you have backps and you are sure that all your data are safe, you can just re-install and restore backup instead whole this procedure.
If you need more information, feel free to ask.

Thank you. After reinstalling the app, I can now download my LoMaps.
