The subscription is bound to your Google account. If you run the new phone under the same account, just install and be happy.

However, there are some fee based maps (not the LoMaps) that request a fee for each download. Those you have to migrate (copy) manually.

Me too with a new phone. When I click on the lower left hamburger I see an icon for "Go Premium!" But I have premium from my old phone. When I click on Purchase History>Subscriptions it says "No subscription yet" When I check Google Play I see my Locus 4 subscription through April 17, 2024. I'm confused what's going on.

Premium is not tied to the Google account. It is linked to the Locus account.
Sign in to the Locus Store with the same Locus account. The one you used to buy the Premium.

are you 100% sure you are using the same google play account as the old phone...

Thanks for responding so quickly. Yes, I have an autorenewing subscription to my one & only Play account. I have an email to my gmail account that reflects that. And it shows up on my Google Play subscriptions list.

Hold on. I see an old email that shows I logged into Locus Store with a different email. So the Store is on one email and Google Play another. Egads!

Hello,

all LoMaps can be downloaded as many times as you want for free once purchased

Only updates are paid.

The best procedure how to transfer to the new phone is described in the manual:

https://docs.locusmap.app/doku.php?id=manual:faq:move_to_new_phone

Regards,

Zdenek, Locus team

I've just set up my Pixel 7a and followed the instructions for android 11+. None of my customisations have come across, and I have quite a lot. Dashborad, panels, menus, track recording parameters etc. Have I missed something?

Back up tracks, points, settings on the old phone and then restore them on the new one.
Or backup the whole Locus folder and replace the Locus folder with this one on the new one.

My maps, tracks, points have all migrated fine.its the user settings like dash, panels, track recording profiles. I followed the help page linked to above for devices android 11+. My old device is 11 and my new device 13. My old device was 10 and updated to 11. This meant that the locus folder was in a different place. I know the permissions and file structures are different so I'm hoping there's a config file or something I can move to get my set-up back.

The content of the Locus folder should be the same. Just copy the old folder.
Then look where the folder is on the new phone and replace it.
Alternatively, you can back up only the settings on the old phone and restore only the settings on the new phone.
I am of course talking about LM4

Uninstalled from new phone, cleaned up and started again, all OK. I must have done something wrong
