My phone updated GE to v10.35.3.5 and now Locus can't find it any more. It's installed and works fine but Locus says it's not installed. Screenshot.

Android 13 - OneUI 5.1

Samsung S22+

Locus 4.19.0

A secondary Locus issue is noted with the GE update. Apparently, when displaying coordinates, GE inserts non-text characters (tab or hard space perhaps?) between the lat and long values. So an action like dropping a pin in GE, copying the coords and then pasting into a new waypoint in Locus using the Clipboard option will have Locus responding with "Process Unsuccessful". Deleting the spaces and N/W letters and retyping them will allow Locus to accept the input.

This would really be GE's issue but perhaps the Locus team could adjust the parsing of coordinates to compensate for Google's non-standard formats.

Hi,

Sorry for the trouble but the blame is not on us. At the end of September, Google Earth on GP received the 10.x+ update. As you can see from the comments, very nice one.
The result, among other things, is that sharing content from Locus directly to GE doesn't work. Simple file sharing from file browsers... doesn't work. The most ordinary location sharing from Locus ... doesn't work. Only GE gets stuck and needs to "Clear data!" to get it to work again. So unfortunately we have to remove support for the new GE version in the next version of Locus.
Only one solution ... the old version of Google Earth that you can download from http://bit.ly/lmVersions, folder "various/Google Earth".

Regards,

Zdenek, Locus team
