Total elevation gain / Total ascent on a dashboard on a pre-planned route

Hello,
I was wondering if it's possible to see the value of my current elevation gain/total ascent on a dashboard when riding a pre-planned route (gpx file).
I searched everywhere and couldn't find any information about this.
My phone doesn't have a barometer sensor - can I still benefit from this option or do I need a phone with a built-in barometer or a smartwatch with a barometer sensor that can provide the necessary data via bluetooth?
How can I make this work (if possible with my phone without a barometer sensor) or what do I need to make this work?
Like I said - I can't find an answer to my questions, so I'm asking for help :)

Hi,

yes, it's possible, just add the elevation gain or uphill distance to the dashboard (https://docs.locusmap.app/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:tools:dashboards). The values appear when you start recording the track, they are independent of the navigated route. The barometer is not necessary for any Locus Map's features.

Thanks for your response.
I added "elevation gain" to my dashboard in the past, but it didn't react/change. Was it because I didn't use the recording option before (guidance only)? Is recording required for elevation gain to work?

Exactly, the app calculates the values from the recorded data.

Is there any way to display remaining elevation from planned route? The same way as remaining kms? It would be handy to know how many meters you have to the finish. Using already gained elevation is not accurate (Locus has a tendency to increase it excessively probably because of raw GPS data) and it's problematic with detours.

Remaining elevation from planned route can be displayed as described in
