Heart rate recording corrupted

Solved

When recording a track started using Samsung Galaxy watch 5 pro with phone connected I noticed after a certain point in some recordings the heart rate data doesn't match the actual. I'm the case shown here appears to get stuck.

See a recording at the same time from the Samsung Galaxy fitness app and from locus maps. The one from locus maps is the one that appears to get stuck at a particula value.

Hi,

please make sure both Locus Map and Locus Map Watch add-on are excluded from all means of battery optimization so they can run in the background. Also, have a look at the tips mentioned in https://docs.locusmap.app/doku.php?id=manual:faq:bt_sleep_issues.

Yes, both apps are excluded from battery optimizations. The gpx tracks themselves recorded fine just heart rate data that is corrupted.

Hi Joshua,

sorry for the delay, I was on vacation.

How did you get the graph? Is it via a direct report from Locus Map? Which format did you use?

That was via direct export to Strava from locus gui. The image is heart rate graph from Strava.

We've fixed a problem with the defunct reading of HR data from Wear OS watches but we are not sure if it is the same problem as yours. Please test it when the new beta version of Locus Map is published (see https://bit.ly/lmVersionsTest).

Sounds good, I have made a few more recordings since this and generally have not been seeing the issue. Though could just be intermittent.
