Point alert activated by NMEA reader
Answered
I am using NMEA reader to get two GPS readings at the same time on the screen.
When activating Point alert it starts alerting continuously that there is the waypoint of the NMEA Reader nearby thus rendering the Point Alert function unusable with NMEA reader.
Point alert should flter NMEA Reader position out from the points that activates the alert.
Hi,
could you please provide us with an NMEA sample to test this feature? Thanks

Hi,
Unfortinately a sample could not activate the problem because the position must be near the internal GPS.
My setup contains Garmin GLO and Samsung Xcover 5. NMEA is coming from the Garmin and because it reads about the same position as the Samsung this activates the Point alert.
To reproduce this behaviour you need any NMEA device connected to any phone with internal GPS reception.

Hi,
Locus Map Point alert notifies of user points in selected folders and of all temporary points and non-navigation waypoints. NMEA reader generates temporary points on map. Filtering these points would mean increasing the selection options and a significant change in the app. If you want to implement the change, create an idea from your question and let other users vote for it. When the idea gathers enough support from others, we can think about implementing it.
