Hi Willy,

the latest version of Locus Map rotates POIs relatively to the North for better readability. On vector maps, also the texts are rotated this way. This rotation regards also custom POIs and content of KMZ layers.

Waypoint icons !

Test on version 4.26. Than rotate the vector map (By compass).

Normal wpt icons without heading are aligned with the display. Wich is correct.

Waypoints (kml) that contain heading should kept aligned to the north. As in GE.

Notice the difference without and inclusive heading.

Hello Willy,

good point, thanks. You are of course correct and are first who noticed this issue after maybe 10 years ...

Because of complexity of this task (currently all points, without exception, are draw as floating rotating above the map), I won't fix it in the near future, sorry.

Okido understood.

Other than the Android GE app itself, I don't know of any other apps that implement this.

I noticed this to transfer (if possible) some GE kmz specials into gpz by using the old gpx standard.

The most important GE kmz specials can be transferred even though not all such tricks are shown ;-)

The accompanying gpz document is adapted for this based on what Locus 4.26 already shows very nicely and uniquely at import. The advantage by gpz above kmz is that the ready to use TBT track navigation instructions are inclusive and are transfered.
