Stamen basemaps
Answered
The Stamen basemaps from the store don't display any more. Looks like they migrated to a new host:

It would be great to get them working again. I really like blending their black and white basemap with other overlays.
Hi,
Thank you for the information about the migration. Unfortunately, it seems that the Stamen maps are charged now. For this reason, we decided to support it no longer.
Anyway, it should be possible to register at Stadia Maps and obtain Api Key, in case Stamen maps is vital for you. With your own personal API KEY you can add map as custom online source in Locus Map. More about custom online source https://docs.locusmap.app/doku.php?id=manual:advanced:customization:online_maps&
When tile URL would be https://tiles.stadiamaps.com/tiles/{variant}/{z}/{x}/{y}{r}.png?api_key={apikey}
Best regards
Petr

Petr,
Thank you for the response. I hadn't read that information enough to see that it is a charged service now. I might go the personal API Key route.

I went ahead and added the Stamen maps as a custom source per your instructions, Petr. It works great, so I've attached my xml file here for anyone else that might want to use it. You just need to create a free account at https://stadiamaps.com/stamen/onboarding/create-account, then copy your API key into the xml file.
I haven't been able to get their watercolor map to work, perhaps because it returns a jpg rather than png. Not a big deal, as the Toner map was the one I really wanted, and I have that working.

Great, I'm glad to hear that.
Locus should accept both formats. From my point of view, it should be enough to change the file extension in the URL. I mean ....png?api_key... to ....jpg?apik_key.....
But I haven't tested it.
Thanks, Petr
