I use Locus on Android for several years. Now, I have to change my phone to iPhone and I'm looking for an OFFLINE navigation tool for hiking, because usually I cannot use the online map on the field. I would like to simply see where I am, record my trip and export the GPX file at the end of the day.

Locus iOS version is slowly approaching more functionality - I have to leave the details to the Locus team.

However, if I were in your shoes, for the purpose you describe, I would simply keep the Android device for this job.

Hello Ferenc,

We are working on offline maps for the iOS version. We decided to use a completely new format, so preparing them will take longer. We expect to release them in the spring of 2024. If you mean by „offline navigation tool“ routing commands during movement, they are not planned yet for the iOS version. GPX export is already supported. Let me know if you miss some GPX tags in the exported file.

Best regards,

Petr Janda
