Locus and electric bikes?

Hi,
for the autumn-winter period I started riding an electric bike, for which I have a Bosch app for Android. The bike has power and cadence sensors and connects to the Bosch app via BT5.

Unfortunately, Locus does not see these sensors. In general, the Locus app
does not support electric bikes well.
What does the future look like in this area?

E-bikes are supported wherever possible. I think Specialized is already in Locus.
Bosch and Shimano do not allow access to their sensors. You would have to write to Bosch to release the data. The more they do that, the sooner they release the data.

Hi, yep, with Bosch the future is not that bright in this area. I would like to be wrong there.

We would be happy to support all kinds of ebikes but it is big mess with lots of proprietary protocols without access to documentation. Even already implemented Specialized sensor doesn't work with all their models and for those which works it is because we extensively debug it with my personal bike.

In case you will be able to point us to technical documentation based on that we will be able to implement support for such sensors, we will happily do so. But particularly with Bosh we didn't even bothered to ask them for it as we know how the result would be. Sorry for disappointing answer.

Hi,
thanks for the explanation...
all I can say is that I don't understand the behavior of these giants.
Because I understand cooperation as something positive, and I don't see any competition from Locus, rather as an advertisement that it supports something.
oh well
