Hi. I attached 2 screenshots. The map is what i am using. Very conviniant. The altitude profile is what i would like to have on the display as well or that i coud have just pushing a buton and back, while i am riding (with the blue point giving my actual location on the trip). Do you think it is possible to have both displays or be able to switch simply from one to the othet ? Thank you for your app that i like a lot. Didier

Hi Didier,

Locus Map provides a feature called "Dashboard" with which you can display a graph above the map

I Michal

Thank you for this fast answer.

I already have a dashboard.

Then I added a cell to contain the chart.

However, when I change the source for the cell and select "control charts" I can add a "chart (1)" but I don't know how to add data in it.

I have "no data for the chart".

The one I would like to have is the altitude as shown in the attached screenshot (locusmap;png).

1-Can you tell me how to add the data ?

2-Shoud I use the navigation to get the display in the cell or is it possible to just select a track to have the altitude line ?

thank you

Didier

There are two types of charts that can be added to the dashboard - a chart for a recorded track and a chart for a navigated route. In both cases, the charts emerge when track recording, resp. route navigation is started. Without one or another, the chart remains inactive.

Thank you Michal

And how to set the data in the chart ?

I answered your question.

1) start track recording

or

2) start navigation

This is not a right answer.

If you please could read my mail in length maybe you could answer correctly and we could stop exchanging mails.

I add that I checked the help and youtube and never found the answer.

What I want is to have the altitude profile of my track and the point where I am. Not a recording track. I sent you a screenshot about that.

So once again : how to have on display the altitudes all along my track and where I am ?

Like on the screenshot.

It is the right answer.

Start navigation of your track/route.

Choose your dashbord with elevation chart.

Chart and your position will be shown. Like on screenhot.

As long as you are not navigating, the dashboard cannot display any values! Then only "no data for the chart" is displayed.

You write:

"Choose your dashbord with elevation chart."

I juste have "chart(1)" and ̈chart(2)"

How can I have "elevation chat" in "change source" "controls!. charts " ?

1) tap the dashboard cell with the chart

2) select "edit":

3) select "Altitude" for one of the chart's Y axes:

4) save the dashboard and activate it

5) start navigation

Sorry. As you can see on the screenshot I don’t have the full track altitude display over the 10.1km but just what I have done.

You probably inserted the track recording chart. You have to select the chart from the "navigation" sector if you want to see the chart of the route ahead.

I had also tried something here once. I also wondered which chart was the right one. However, navigation and rec are clear. But what is the difference between chart 1 and 2? I couldn't find any information at the time. But I haven't looked at the operating instructions now.

The difference between charts 1 and 2 is upon you - you can have two navigation charts on one dashboard, each displaying different parameters. E.g. Chart 1 displaying elevation and Chart 2 slope gradient.

I think I have it now. Seems to work ok. A bit hard and difficult but it is the drawback with sofwares that allow us to customize as much as we want. Thank you.

Hi.

Last monday I asked you how to get the altitude profile of my full track on display.

After many emails with you I thought it was ok but actually it is not.

When cycling, I just have a sliding window of 20km but not the simple not moving whole profile of the track.

How could I just get the altitude of the full track in order to know what remains until the end ?

Thank you.

The length of the max. visible range can be set in the dashboard diagram, but 20,000 m is the highest value that can be selected. Unfortunately, a longer distance cannot be displayed completely.

If you only want to know the remaining altitude metres (as a number), you can display this in a corresponding cell in the dashboard.

The length of the displayed part of the route is limited to 20 km to keep the app performance sustainable. And honestly, a graph of more than 20 km doesn't make sense on the small screen of a mobile phone.
