Always show zoom level

Is there a way for the app to always show zoom level? Like when ti offers downloading shading.
It would be useful when caching sattelite maps before an offline trip(so I would know which zoom levels I am getting).

if needed change the top panel contents to Map

LM can do almost anything, but often the feature is hidden ;-)

In the past there was an add-on which automatically downloaded the satellite images but I guess it does no more work or maybe it does no more exist. It was great for travel regions where you don't have Internet. Maybe it can be implemented once in LM if its allowed by Google license.
