Initially, map shows not the configured language

Not a Problem

LoMap Tunisia usually shows city, railway or street names in the official country's language, so Arabic characters which I do not understand. Hence, I changed to Latin characters in Maps > offline > 3-dot-menu of that LoMap v4 map > i Details > map language where I have the choice between Local and Systemstandard (sic – for the first, the English term and for the second, the German term is shown in English Locus on German Android). Afterwards, the texts are initially shown in Arabic characters, but after changing to any other map and back, they are shown in Latin characters. This happens across reboots. I expected the texts to always appear in Latin chars, also after initial load.

Hi,

I'm sorry but I can't simulate the problem you describe. Each LoMap is displayed in the local language after the download. Only after switching the language to the default system, does it change the language.

Hi Michal, the point is that after choosing the language it is not always used. Can you reproduce by these steps?

  1. Install LoMap Tunisia
  2. Move to somewhere in Tunisia
  3. Choose LoMap Tunisia
    => names are Arabic
  4. map manager > ... besides LoMap Tunisia > details, change Local to English
  5. Twice back
    => Names are Latin
  6. Exit Locus and swipe out of screen in Android task manager
  7. Start Locs
    => Names are arabic again despite in map manager, LoMap Tunisia is still set to EN (see step 4)
  8. Switch to another map, e.g. online map OSM classic
  9. Switch back to LoMap Tunisia by long pressing "map-screen content" button
    => Names are Latin

As you can see on the video, I can't simulate the issue according to your instructions: https://gofile.me/7ecf2/UXOHr56wu
