Wrong heights during flight tracking with Locus Maps Classic 3.70.15

I've been using Locus Map Classic to track flight routes for years successfully. However, the current version seems to have a bug regarding heights. Although I deactivated any height filters, corrections, don't use a pressure sensor and use the GPS only, the shown heights only change extremely slow, as if a strong filter was active. I compared the heights real time with the values of the GPS Status app (see screenshot), which shows a plausible height of 7700m while Locus reports only 1500m. After a long time it increased up to 6000m, and after landing it still showed 3000m. I never had such behaviour with the app versions before. I would love to get back this great function, which killed lots of boring hours during long flights for me. Regards, Ralf.

Hello Ralf,

interesting problem. Locus Classic receives a very low amount of changes because it is already in maintenance mode for some time (we are working primarily on the Locus Map 4 app). So there should be no change in the latest app versions that should affect this behavior.

Suggest checking the app settings > GPS & sensors > Google Services assisted location. This may affect what data app receives and in your case, this value should be disable (by enabling, system provides some optimizations before the location is delivered to the final app). Hope this helps.
