Importing geoJSON files

Attempting to import geoJSON files returns error "Can't find any importable points or tracks in the file(s).
I've tried importing from Google Drive, from within the Private Folder without success.
I was able to do so in previous versions 3.xx but not in latest 3.70.15

I have since uninstalled and installed older versions 3.5x and 3.6x, cleared app folder, but still get same result. Importing gpx files works fine.
