Map cursor coordinates display in android route planner topbar

I often need to plot routes from a description using local map coordinates - in my case BNG Grid Reference (OSGB36) - and compass bearings.

Question: Is there a way to display the map cursor coordinates in local units when in the android app route planner ?
(Note: In the Web planner these are unavailable even as Lat/Lon - I'll raise a separate Idea for that)

Problem:-
1/ In the Android map top panel there is an option to display the coordinates of the map cursor, in the coordinate system chosen by the user in settings.
However, in the route planner the top panel is not shown, replaced by the route planner top panel on which, as far as I can see, there is no option to display the map cursor coordinates.

2/ The map cursor elevation (dynamic elevation) can be seen at the cursor when in the planner but there is no option to also show the coordinates.

3/ It seems that dashboards don't display when in the planner, and anyway the dashboard map cursor field is only available as Lat/Lon, not the local coordinates, even though the GPS coordinates fields are available in local coordinates.

4/ The coordinates grid on the map if activated is only available as Lat/Lon, and the Longitude labels are hidden by the route itinerary at the bottom of the screen. The grid is anyway not as easy to use as seeing the actual cursor coordinates.

So it seems to be thwarted in all cases. Am I missing something obvious ?

If it really is not currently possible , then can there be an optional "dynamic coordinates" displayed together with the "dynamic elevation" at the map center, or else make them available in the route planner top panel ?

The workarounds I have currently are:
a/ Have a second device or paper map alongside where I can see the coordinates and cross-reference them visually. Hard work.
b/ Long press on + icon, select coordinates and you can then enter them in local coordinates. Works, but a lot more tapping, and usually then have to move the point afterwards as the given coordinates are only approximate or on a path junction.

Hi Alan,

open the route description on your phone > copy the local coordinates of a route point to the clipboard > in the Locus Map route planner, long-press the "+" button and select "Clipboard" - the local coords copy to Locus map to create a new route point > repeat. Does this work for you?

Hi
Thanks for the suggestion. Looks like the "Clipboard" option only accepts Lat/Lon unless I'm doing something wrong... I get error "Process unsuccessful" with OSGB36 coordinates. However if pasting into the "Coordinates" option, though it doesn't really help if using a finger to copy/paste, if I attach a mouse then copy/paste becomes easier so does help.
The long press on + results in creation of a viapoint so have to change it back to shaping point then probably move it.... which can be done of course, it's just not ideal when dealing with multiple points. Also if taking the route description from a printed source then it would have to be typed in. It's much easier if you can first see the coordinates on the screen as you move the map around then you can choose where to add the point.

So, I do still think that making the cursor coordinates visible would be a nice addition, maybe for other use cases also. It's a bit odd its available on the main map screen but not on route planner, where we can see elevation but not coordinates.
Should this become an Idea then ?

I've changed the topic to an Idea.
