New Library - editing track dialog - folder not preserved

vsespb shared this problem 18 hours ago
Not a Problem

If I edit track and change tracks folder while editing, destination folder is not saved. So next time I edit next track I have to select folder again.

In previous version of library it was preserved.

That makes complications for my workflow - after track recording I save track to one folder ("Recorded") and later, when I have time, I edit it, give a name and move to (almost always) same folder.

Hello,

I'm unfortunately unable to simulate this issue.

You simply have a saved track/route in any folder and "Edit" in the track detail > change folder > save, does not correctly save this folder?

Usecase:

I take track T1 in folder /F1 and edit it, I change folder to /foo/bar/F2
then I take track T2 in folder /F1 and edit it. I want to change folder to /foo/bar/F2 as well.

Expected behaviour: there should be easy way to select /foo/bar/F2 again. I recall in previous library version it was easy accessible. Maybe it was next in dropdown folder list?

Actual behaviour: I have work in "Select folder" dialog, starting with folder /F1 and travel all folder structure to choose /foo then /foo/bar and then finally folder /foo/bar/F2.

Understand, thanks.

Currently, when you tap on editing of the folder, the app opens My library in the currently selected folder. This is OK and logical from my point of view.

What you need is some kind of history of previously used folders. This is something we discussed on the forum as well and I'll most probably do something with it.

For now, suggest using "search" option available directly in the screen where you choose a folder ...
