This probably would fit nicely with the new Locus database functionality.

Find the testfiles in the zip and a pdf document attached.

Hello Willy,

may you please describe a little what is this topic about? So it is clear without studying sample file and attached document. Also for others, so other users may comment and vote if your proposal may be useful for them. Thanks.

Describing is always the hardest part ;-)

File transfer result of favorite wpt groups example. Display by other app) ;-)

With Locus such a thing could also be done but possibly even better inclusive ANY ICON transfers !

Locus transfer via kmz (placemark) wpt's neatly in group folders with color + icons + extra.
By file transfers with MANY wpt's you don't have to define each wpt separately in detail.
Still single (placemark) wpt's with a different definition (color) have priority over the group definition.

- Locus kmz. (= Supported by Locus).
Locus kmz can transfer ANY icon inclusive color definition and more.
The recipient even doesn't have to install any custom icon set.

A Placemark with #Bar triggers the group Bar.
Example of group (folder) definition.

<IconStyle>
<Icon>
<href>Plus.png </href> <!--associated icon image location-->
</Icon>
<scale>1.4</scale> <!--relative to the Locus app default 24pd icon size-->
<hotSpot x="0.5" y="0.5" xunits="fraction" yunits="fraction"/> <!--icon hotspot location--><color>ff00ffff</color> <!--aabbggrr-->
<heading>45</heading> <!--icon rotation referenced to the top (Locus)-->
</IconStyle>

- Locus gpz. (Similarly)
A gpx wpt with <type>#castle</type> triggers the castle group.

Hello Willy,

understand, thanks. So main purpose is to transfer of structure of folders and it's data between Locus Map and OsmAnd? Quite a lot of work to be true.

Something similar already exists: https://help.locusmap.eu/topic/export-path-according-to-structure-with-groups-folders-in-track-manager

Wow 10 years old idea ;-)

(I did not think about a so complex deep folder structure transfer anyway)

Initially (by kmz) between Locus users. OsmAnd hardly supports kmz, neither icons nor color etc. The example in the gif uses the OsmAnd gpx extension. However, with gpx you cannot transfer the icon images. Using kmz (gpz) which Locus supports performantly, ANY icon can be transferred. Considering your work with the new folder structure this could be a nice addition eventually ?
