Hy

To set the record folder of traces, I went into settings > save a track > record profiles > walk > preferred folder. I choose a path folder. It works well.

How to define the preferred folder for WP?

Thank you

Hi Jean-Pierre,

what do you mean by waypoints? Points created during track recording? Such waypoints are part of the track and are not saved separately. User points added manually on the map? Such points are stored in the folder from which you triggered the "add new point" command. Quick new points? The folder is defined in the QNP definition.

Thank you. It is about User points added manually. What dou you mean about "QNP definition" ?

Thank you

When you add a point manually, you have to select the folder into which you want to store the point. There is no pre-defined folder (actually the last used folder is pre-selected but that's probably not what you want).

QNP is Quick New Point, which is a method for quickly adding points in pre-defined categories. More at https://docs.locusmap.app/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:points:quick_add

Thank you very much.

What I understand is that the file defined at the time of recording will remain the same until it is changed.

It is true that setting a default folder beforehand (as for a trace) would be used. I will just have to think about defining this file at the time of registration.

Your second option QNP (which I did not know/ this app is full of possibilities) does not correspond to what I want, because I mix photos and WP during my hikes.

Have a nice day

Maybe I still don't understand your use case - do you create the points with this button during track recording?:

If yes, the point is connected with the track and is not stored separately.

Do you create the new point this way?

If yes, the last used folder is pre-selected for storing this point.
