Location permission All the time
I do not like to have programs that are allowed to have location permission all the time, so except for Samsung Find,Android System Intelligence and Google (which are there by default and I have no choice)... I deny this kind of All the time location permission to any other apps.
I allow them only "Allowed location only while in use" and they function as it should(Avenza maps,Komoot,OsmAnd+,Wikiloc etc.)
Not the same with Locus map 4 Gold.. if I allow only "Allowed location only while in use" the program is not usable at all.Tried it and first thing track recording is not automatically started as it was with "Allow all the time permission"
Next, when not navigating, the cursor position is updated in real time on the map
When navigating to a point, the cursor position it's not updated and just freezes there even if I move, the distance to destination remains the same.The map is not rotating to the direction of travel.So cannot use navigation at all
Even if the screen is always on and Locus is in focus(and not in the background) the app is not updating GPS position when navigate.
Tried with OsmAnd+ with the same permission and it does track recording and navigation, even when in background.. so it is doable.
It is a privacy and safety concern to grant any application All the time location tracking permission.It is as if I willingly agree to be tracked 24/24 hours with my phone and if any hacker it's braking into Locus database then he will track every move I make :)
It's bad enough that Google is already doing this.Can you please make it work with just Allow only while in use?

Locus handles location data responsibly, so it's not a risk. Everything's working great right now, and we don't need to change anything here.

with version 4.28+, "All the time" permission for location is no longer needed for track recording. I'm also aware that there are cases, when it may not be necessary so now we test step by step, what happens if we remove it for certain features.
And the track recording is first. In an ideal world, it may be removed from the app completely. It most probably won't happen as there are cases when it will really be necessary, but we will see.
