Does Locus (Classic) + Locus Watch on my Galaxy Watch5 Pro automatically use my watch GPS+sensors?

I'm not sure if this is an auto process or do i have to set it up? i never noticed if its using my phone internal gps or my watch gps and the various sensors. i do believe my watch gps refreshes faster and as i use this as a realtime speedometer i want to use the watch which apparently has faster refersh rates? thanks!

Locus Map Watch add-on doesn't use your watch GPS - it just displays what is happening in Locus Map on your phone. As for the "refresh rate", it depends on your track recording profile setting.
