Import KML with Folder Structure Preservation
Hello Locus team,
I would like to request an improvement to the KML import feature in Locus.
Currently, I store my waypoints in a single KML file (version 2.2) on my PC. Inside this file, my waypoints (Placemark) are organized into folders (Folder), and these folders can be nested within other folders. However, as far as I know, Locus does not offer an import tool that preserves this folder structure.
Right now, to import my data into Locus, I have to manually extract each folder and import it separately, specifying the appropriate group (folder) each time. This process is time-consuming and inconvenient.
It would be extremely helpful if Locus could support importing a single KML file while maintaining its original folder structure.
I hope you consider implementing this functionality in the near future. Thank you for your great work and for continuously improving Locus!
Hey everyone, it’s been some time! I’d love to hear the devs’ perspective - what are their thoughts on this feature? Any plans to add it to Locus?

I once commented on this issue and it was not successful.
I support the idea because it would be great

Hi guys,
this feature is not in current plan, also because of it's complexity. Locus Map currently does not handle structure of KML correctly, so this will need a lot more work than it looks.
Thanks for understanding.
