Language-setting of Maps buggy

Solved

I'm using OpenAndroMaps of Czechia and I think there's a bug in LM4 regarding language setting:
Best test it with Prague, since there are lots of words translatet to German or English

1) If changing the language of the map to German or English within Mapmanager, and looking at the map, there are still the Czech names "Praha" etc. Only after temporary opening another map, and then switching back to OpenAndroMaps, the correct language is used. ("Prag" or "Prague")

2) After closing Locus and restarting, the Czech names are displayed again ba mistake altough language setting of the map is still German or English.

Btw. in LM3 language settings are working perfect with the same map.

Hi Sonny,

What map theme do you use? What storage do you use for your OAM maps? I'm not able to simulate the issue so I need to know as much as possible about your setup.

Themes: Any of the OAM "Elevate themes" (Hiking, City...)
Folder: Map and theme are within "Media"-folder (Android > media > menion.android.locus > mapsVector)
My friend on her phone has the same issue with this map.

Advice for testing: You have to open OAM-Czechia map, change language to e.g. German and then completely close Locus-app by removing it from Androids' task manger (or restart you phone). In this case the map always starts with Czech language on by mistake.

We are sorry but we are unable to simulate the issue - no one in our team... ://. Without simulation, we can't fix it.

I think I found the crucial setting when this bug occurs:

Just if "mapsVector" directory is set to "Private 'Android/media' folder. If set to "App default", the language issue doesn't occur

What is your default for the main app directory? Android/media?

No, "android/data"

Could you please test Android/media as the main directory default? (including mapsVector in the same storage). Thanks

Oki, in this case it works :-)
(in LM3 I also had different directories for main directory (data) and maps' directories (media) and there this issue doesn't exist)

Thanks, Sonny, for all the additional info. The issue seems to be fixed. Please test it with the next app version (beta is coming soon)
