Web Planner: Focus after deleting point 1

A small(ish) but irritating issue:-
When plotting a route if you start plotting a route , e,g, add first two points then decide to backtrack so delete point 2, then delete point 1, and then click on the map to add a new first point - point 2 gets added instead of point 1. When deleting point 1 it leaves the focus on the itinerary box for point 2 instead of point 1.
Vice versa if you delete point 1 then delete point 2 the focus is put on the first (start) input box. It doesnt make sense.

I guess these two boxes are shown because they represent the start and end points and you can choose to add either the start or end point first either using the itinerary or right click on the map.
When starting the planner there is no focus on either of the boxes - you have to choose.

So IMO whether starting planner or after removing all points it should be consistent - either make the user choose, or preferably put the initial focus on the first (start) point as the majority of users would add the start point first.
