Geocache live map

Im trying to move from being a long term Locus Maps Classic user to being a new Locus Maps 4 Gold user. I use Locus for geocaching.

My geocache workflow using Locus Maps Classic with geocache4locus add on:

1. Enable geocache live map.

2. Browse area on map to find a location to hike.

3. Let the geocache live map load and display caches in that area.

4. Download those geocaches visible on the screen for offline use.

5. Go geocaching! Use offline maps, offline geocaches, log finds offline.

6. Get home, upload my offline logs.

I have being using Locus Maps Classic and geocaching4locus like this for over 15 years! It's brilliant :-)

I am struggling to do this with Locus Maps 4. During stage 4 of my workflow, where I download the geocaches visible on the screen, Locus Maps 4 downloads 250 caches from my current location...I do not want geocaches from my current location, I want the geocaches I can see on my live map (somewhere else in the world).

I'm obviously missing something, or some setting, as this is a basic task. Can someone help me please?

TIA.

Hi Gary,

the option to download the caches currently displayed by the GC live map has been added to the beta version of the app and is yet awaiting production publication - see https://bit.ly/lmVersionsTest.

Many thanks for the reply. Apologies, I didn't know this was beta functionality :-)

Note, I used a different method today to achieve the same effect. I used "GC Live Map" to browse target areas for a hike. Then, once I had selected an area to hike in I simply selected "Search for geocaches" and set "Search around this location" to "Screen Center". This downloaded everything visible (up to the limit I set) that was displayed on the screen at that time.
