Hello,
I'm slowly planning route for upcoming race (mandatory waypoints/sections).
I have all my waypoints marked in folder and using them as waypoints in planner.
When I reopen previously saved route in planner, these points/waypoins number flags are in France (suppose to be in Slovenia). Seems like they latitude is stuck to 0. When I later do the change to routing (adding/moving other waypoints), calculation timeouts as too big.
Noticed in on multiple routes. Happens only on these points from library used in planner.
Tested in Firefox and Chromium.

Track corrupted after reload in route planner: waypoints longitude changed
Hi,
I'm currently planning my HRP trip for this summer, and evaluating Locus Map, which seemed to me the most complete and performant app available these days.
So, I started creating a route yesterday with the web app, adding multiple waypoints, moving a few, etc. I saved my track a few times, overwriting it. Made some change today, saved again. Then reloaded it a few minutes later in the route planner. And boom, the track has been corrupted, with a dozen waypoints moved from their location to some random longitude. Looks like waypoints latitude is still correct, though.
I tried to move the waypoints back to their original position, but it totally messed the track up by linking the waypoints to the last one.
See attached files, showing view after track reload and after moving the waypoints back in place.
Is this a known problem? Can I get my healthy track back? I mean, is there some track history somewhere in the filesystem?
I need to know if this app is reliable before I commit too much.
Thanks in advance!
And congrats for the good work so far :-)
Hi Yan,
sorry for the inconvenience but this is not a known problem. Could you exactly specify the steps leading to the situation? I mean, we need to simulte the issue before we can fix it.

Hi,
Unfortunately I can't seem to reproduce the issue creating other routes for now, but they are way shorter.
I'll try to recreate the corrupted one from scratch one of these days and will let you know if it happens again.
Apart from that, I tested the app on a 3 days hike and it's brilliant :-)

Hi, could you please send the points for a test? We are unable to simulate the issue.

Hi,
I deleted the route but restarted a new one, and finally issue appeared again, one waypoint (38) has been moved horizontally.
Don't know if it is related, but I deleted 3 other versoins of the same route in the same folder just before reloading this one.
Also, when I moved waypoint 38 to its original location, following waypoints seem unconnected (no pink track) and distances show 0km. I have to move waypoints after 39 to their locations to connect them again.
Note : Once all the previous fixes are done, save and route reloaded, everyting is OK :-)
So, it looks like a very small glitch, but I have no way to reproduce it on purpose yet.
Here are screenshots and the imported GPX file.

Thank you for the update. We haven't managed to replicate the issue though. We'go on investigating.

Hi, could you please send an exact description of all the steps leading to the issue? Plus a URL link to the problematic route. We are unable to simulate the problem otherwise.

Hey, sorry but I can't replicate it either. It happened only twice, and totally randomly.
In the meantime, I finished my route (750km) with heavy manipulations, like lots of move/delete/insert waypoints and lots of save/backup/delete, and I had no more issues :-)
Also, I created a lot of smaller routes like 15-30km the last few days, and the issue has never occured.
I'm still modifying the long route, so I'll let you know if it happens again. I'll try to remember what action leads to the issue.
Thanks for your time!

Hi, it looks like we're facing the same random issue with no way to replicate it on purpose ;-)

(As for me, I don't use previously saved waypoints but only waypoints I draw in the route itself.)

Hi all,
I've merged the two topics into one as they probably deal with the same issue. Nevertheless, in both slightly different usecases, we were unable to replicate it. So for now, I'm marking it as "no problem" and when you have new information leading to proper simulation, let us know and we'll reopen the topic.
