Display any other fields when adding quick point
Declined
When adding a quick point that contains a {text} field, if there are other fields also defined, for example {t}, they are not displayed, and can't be edited. This seems an unnecessary limitation. To modify these hidden field(s) it is subsequently necessary to tap the new quick point then edit.
My suggestion is to display all field text when a {text} is displayed.
As an indirect benefit, adding 2 quick points with the fields {t}{text} are now not considered duplicates, and no popup question is needed, because the timestamp is unique.
Hello Andrew Heard,
I understand what you want. But I don't want to make any changes here. If the time and date of the timestamp are also displayed in the text input field, it becomes unnecessarily confusing. The timestamp is fixed, and that's the whole point.
The "duplicate problem" with multiple quick points within a minute can be easily avoided by adding a number or letter to the text, e.g. Text 1, Text 2. This can even be done automatically if you also enter {c1}.
So {t} {text} {c1}

Hello Andrew,
agree with @Graf Geo.
Also, with {text} added, it display dialog where you should modify it. In your case, also other variables. What to do without a {text} block? Also display this dialog? Probably not wanted as it should be quick! But not to display means inconsistency. So I would also stick with current solution. Thanks for understanding.

Thanks for your comments. Sorry for the delay in reply as I'm only just back from a cycling holiday.
>it becomes unnecessarily confusing
more or less confusing? the whole text is displayed and becomes the whole point's name - more honest?
>The timestamp is fixed
The timestamp is in a fixed format, there's no real reason why the timestamp couldn't be edited, and it has a somewhat verbose date and time, and no control over that text. If I only want the date then I have to subsequently edit the point > edit the point's name > delete the time. Not quick. Similarly if I want to remove the hyphens from the timestamp for a more compact name, same workflow.
>But not to display means inconsistency
Agreed, this is a limitation of the Quick Point workflow; the settings could include a checkbox for whether to allow editing, set by default if {text} is included. Given the discussion so far, I doubt you'll consider that.
