Turning Large Number of Points On/Off Simultaneously?
Answered
Hello,
I have a GPX bicycle route that doesn't contain any POIs. I also have two different sets of hundreds of POIs that I would like to be able to either display (or not) either one or both sets simultaneously.
I don't see any way to do this in the Points database.
However, in the Tracks database there is an option to merge points with a given track. In Tracks I can turn on/off a given track with just one tap. In this case all of the POIs go on/off with the track.
My current thinking is to "fool" locus into thinking that a waypoint file is really a "track". Anyone know what Locus keys off of in the GPX file to determine if the GPX file contains a track?
Thanks,
Steve
Hi Steve,
in Locus Map Classic, you can display the whole content of a folder on the map by tapping its icon in the library. More at https://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:points:management#points_folder

Thanks for getting back to me. Initially I thought that you had to go into the folder and select Show All / Hide All.
The tap on folder icon also works but doesn't appear to be in the manual.
Not knowing this I found out by experimentation that it takes 2 points to qualify for a track so I ended up making 2 tracks each with 2 track points and either 500 or 1000 waypoints. I also assigned a different icon to each group so that I could determine which set an individual POI came from.
Thanks,
Steve

Manual for Locus Map Classic is at https://docs.locusmap.eu, you probably read docs.locusmap.app which is manual for Locus Map 4. The icon-triggered display of the whole folder is mentioned at https://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:points:management#folders.
