Hi, I read that the iPhone version of Locus Map now supports offline maps. Does this also apply to OAM maps. which I usually use on the Android version?

If not, will support for them be included in the future?

Thanks,
Hilbert

Hi Hilbert,

Locus Map Lite only uses offline LoMaps that can be downloaded within the app. Other maps are not supported yet. Future support of OAM maps is questionable as LM Lite uses a different technology for rendering maps from vector data.

What type of vector map coding does Locus Lite use? There are Mapsforge compatible Apps out there on iOS, so this is definitly doable.

Hi Junior, "Lite" because it doesn't offer all features that are available in the Android version yet. The app has only been developed for one year, compared to 15 years of development of the Android version. It will take some time until the iOS app is as equipped as the Android version.
