Trail difficulty is available in OSM in the topo layer, for instance like here (T2 T3 T4). I understand Themes was the way to see them in v3 maps. What aboutr v4 maps ?
Thanks

You can see it in the Elevate Theme from Openandromaps. Difficulty for hiking and MTB.

Thanks. Is it a theme that can be used with LoMaps ?

Apparently requires Openandromaps.
May I suggest to bring this information into LoMaps, since it is present in OSM ?
Keep up the nice work !

Would it be possible to add this as an online map source ?

Trail difficulty is displayed in offline LoMaps with the hike/bike theme. T1 - full line, T2 - dashed line, T3-T6 - dotted line:

Good to know, but seems limited to waymarked trails !
OSM has data for much more trails, for instance here

Yes, we only display the SAC parameter with the marked trails. The unmarked trails in the high mountains are usually banned for public access and we don't want to risk a conflict with local nature preservers, mountain rescue services etc.

Sorry Michal, but this does not make sense. Trail difficulty is available for a large number of trails outside the waymarked trails, and a vast majority of them are public, at least in France. It is a very important parameter for hikers, and not rendering it make LoMaps far less interesting. A pity for a hiker's tool !

I use Openandromaps maps. I've been using them for a long time.

We will reconsider this again but regarding our recent experience with the High Tatras national park preservers in Slovakia, who asked us for removing ALL unmarked paths from the map, I'm afraid we'll rather keep the unmarked trails untouched.

If paths are closed to the public, this should be mapped accordingly in OSM.

Then paths that are closed can be displayed as closed (as Openandromaps does) or not displayed at all. I am in favor of displaying them as closed. In an emergency, it can be important to know that a path is there.

I agree with @freischneider.
Not to mention that removing them from LoMaps does not remove them from OSM, so it's not really effective.
