Importing waypoints from MyMaps
Answered
Hello,
I am using Locus Maps 4.31.2.
If I manually create waypoints in a myMaps map, I can export it to kml/kmz and import it into Locus Maps without any problems.
If I import a CSV file of waypoints (address, city, country) into a myMaps map, I can also export it to KML/KMZ, but I get an error message when I import it into Locus Maps: ‘Unable to find importable points or routes in the file’. Importing into Google Earth works fine.
Is there a solution?
Thanks in advance,
Roland.
Hi Rolad,
could you please send such a file for a test? Thanks

Hello Michal,
The kml files exported from myMaps.
And a link to the map :

Hi Roland,
thanks for the samples. The KMLs don't contain the coordinates of the points. Only postal addresses that Google Earth can geocode to locations, but not Locus Map or any other mapping app.
