Not a Problem

Hello,

Trying to use LoRouter offline with a Brouter brf file, and I am getting this error message "unknown lookup name....." (see screenshot)

It is current standard (not modified) brf file (hiking-mountain.brf)

Thanks in advance

Hi Mick,

please try to change the default router to BRouter and add your custom profile as a new one to the BRouter profile list.

Hi, I forgot to mention that it is working with Brouter router, but I thought that locus can manage brf profiles.

I also think (maybe I am wrong) that Brouter has its own rd5 segment files, and I prefer letting Locus making the autoupdate of such routing files.

Is it possible that Brouter router to use Locus folder segment to always use updated files? ๐Ÿค”

Unfortunately, not all BRFs are compatible with LoRouter. BRouter uses routing data stored within its directory. Locus Map stores the routing data elsewhere so no, BRouter can't use Locus Map's routing data.

Hi Michal,

It seems that Brouter could read routing data from external folder, using storageconfig.txt file

I tried, it seems it should work, but Locus is warning that no reading access is possible.

Does it mean that it is Brouter app which is not able to read in my local folder /storage/emulated/0/Locus/router/segments4

Thanks

And I assume that Locus folder for routing data is not customizable (to be localised into Brouter one๐Ÿ˜‰)?

What version of Android OS do you have and which storage do you use for Locus Map's main directory?

Android 13 and Locus folder is /storage/emulated/0/Locus/

But on the meantime I used quite a brutal solution : I modded quickly Brouter apk to enable all file access and all is now on. ๐Ÿ˜‚

It's not possible to use /storage/emulated/0/Locus/ on Android 13 with an ordinary version of Locus Map - you probably use the unofficial AF version, right? Just for the others to know...

Hi, yes, of course ๐Ÿ˜Š Using the AFA version (unofficial from Google point of view ๐Ÿ˜).
