I can confirm the message, it occurs when more than 10 (visited) logs are to be transferred when uploading all logs. Only the first 10 visited logs are uploaded. Other logs, more than 10, e.g. ‘found’, are uploaded completely at the same time.

So all logs are uploaded, even if the app displays an error?

All of my find logs (18) were uploaded, but only the first 10 visited logs. The remaining 8 visited logs were still in Locus.

I was able to upload them separately later, but I don't remember how...

I will test again next week and report back.

Thanks, I'm curious. The function always worked without any problems, but suddenly it stopped working. Strange.

In July this year, Groundspeak removed the “Visit all” option from the Trackable inventory on the “Log this geocache” page on Geocaching.com:
https://forums.geocaching.com/GC/index.php?/topic/425855-release-notes-website-trackable-inventory-on-cache-logs-july-23-2025/
Quote: The primary reason for this change is that a small number of players with large trackable inventories have been logging thousands of trackable visits for every cache that they find. This has contributed to an unsustainable rate of trackable log growth, which has negatively impacted the performance of trackable searches.
As a first step, we’re implementing this change to help address the issue. If this update does not adequately reduce the load, we may consider additional steps to improve search performance.

In October this year, they also added rate limits to the creation of Trackable "Visited" logs via their API (which Locus is using as API partner):
https://api.groundspeak.com/documentation#create-trackablelog
Quote: "Visited" logs are limited to 20 in 15 minutes, and 600 every 24 hours.

Especially every trackable visiting the same cache will use up one count, so if you post 2 visited trackables on each cache, the limit is reached after 10 logs in 15 minutes.

These API rate limits are the reason for the message that you were seeing.
Unfortunately, there's nothing that Locus can do about it.

The only solution is: once you reach that limit you have to wait a bit and then can continue logging "Visits" to trackables.

Thanks.

So geocaching has set a limit. That's a real shame. Geocaching has broken something again.

Hi guys,

thanks to all who detected and explained this issue. We are sorry for this inconvenience but as you can see, Locus Map is not to blame.
