Hello,
We checked the latest South Africa LoMaps, and the LoPoints are included in the map and displayed correctly. Could you please check whether LoPoints are enabled in Map Screen Content?

Please see https://docs.locusmap.app/doku.php/manual:user_guide:mainscr_lpanel

Yes, the Lopoints are enabled.

I did a test.

I downloaded the map of Namibië.

When I push the button "other poi" I must change the country but I don't see the map of south-africa. In the africa file I only see the map of Namibie who I just downloaded.

In the android file /Android/media/menion.android.locus/mapsVector/africa/

I find 5 files

namibia.osm.db

namibia.osm.map

south_africa.osm.db

south_africa.osm.map

south_africa.poiv2.db

Thank you for the explanation. It seems you are using the old POI browser (called Other POIs). Unfortunately, this browser can display only POIs from the old LoMaps format. Your Namibia map and the other downloaded maps are still in the old format, so they appear there correctly. However, this does not apply to the new South Africa map.

What is your use case? Do you want to permanently display a certain POI category on the map? You can use the in‑app search or “stick” a category to the map as described here:
https://docs.locusmap.app/doku.php/manual:user_guide:points:locus_maps_pois?s[]=category#highlighting_on_map

Regards
Petr

Why do I have an older POI browser? I downloaded the new version of Locus Map, right? Why has the new version of Locus Map become difficult and still has frequent bugs? LocusMap used to be a great app, but that was a long time ago.

The "old POI Browser" is available for older versions of LoMaps or for maps created by the community. If you encounter any issue with it, please create a separate ticket so we can check it and fix the problem.
Thanks, Petr
