Solved

Hello,

First, I would like to say that I am a veery satisfied user of Locus application :).

I would just like to let you know of 3 problems that I have seen (in order to help you make Locus even better :) ).

1) Big problem:

Several weeks ago I have tried to install latest application on a friend`s phone, and the SD Card Locus folder was messed up. Locus folders (data, icons, exports, maps...) were NOT located in the Locus folder, they were located in SD Card root. Ever since, I did not try to update it on my phone :)

2) When Locus is not in foreground, and path recording is on, Android sometimes stops the recording service, making my recording quite useless. In order to avoid this from happening, I always leave Locus map screen started when I put phone to sleep while path recording is on (to keep it in foreground).

This could be happening if you are not calling Service.startForeground(int id, Notification notification) in your recording service.

3) Minor problem.

If you turn on "Beep on GPS fix" in Locus settings, the Locus application will beep even when phone is set to Silent Mode! This is veeery annoying, when I travel and enter some church or something where I put my phone to Silent, if I run Locus to see the map (or just turn on the phone while Locus is started), my phone will Beep quite loud.

Thank you for the great application.

Hello,

thank you for reports!

so 1. I know! :) It was one version with this stupid issue that happen to new users. Fortunately I noticed it very soon so by stats, only around 200 people installed this version. Fix was on market very quickly :)

2) all main services run in Foreground. Even with this, on some phones with low of system memory (usually some older phones), system may kill track recording service. Quite stupid, but there`s not much more to do with it ..

3) this should also be fixed in last versions. Suggest to not worry and update to last version, really ;)
