Navigation problems

Not a Problem

I have a Gold subscription, but I am experiencing several issues during my hikes. The app frequently freezes and loses my current position. The map orientation is very slow and struggles to determine my heading.

When recording a track, the app doesn't follow the actual path I take; instead, it connects distant points with straight lines. I never had these issues with Locus Map Pro on my previous devices. I am currently using a Samsung Galaxy S24.

They may not have permission to access the battery. No optimization. And always allow GPS.

But there are also issues with the S24. Samsung has a software bug here.

Hi,

please get Locus Map permission for all-time access to the location and exclude Locus from all means of battery optimization so that the app can run in the background, see http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:gps_lost_fix_android6. Also, switch Google Services assisted location off in Locus settings - GPS&sensors.

However, the problem might be caused by the Samsung GPS issue, as @freischneider mentioned.
